Plant Manager – Medial Instruments / R 38 000 Basic plus Medical, Pension, Fuel, Car Insurance and Bonuses / Kyalami

Highly Experienced Engineering manager to manage the manufacturing plant for leading Medical Diagnostics Company.  Must be well versed in both Mechanical/Electrical and Plant maintenance, as well as HUGE focus on documentation and administration control for the department

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide Technical expertise, consultancy and support to all aspects of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, to provide technical/design support to  Engineers and contractors
  • Set and oversee major accountabilities ensuring the continuous training and development for Engineering staff
  • Maintaining continuity with regard to changing technology, regulations and legislations
  • To ensure all equipment on site is maintained as per PPM schedules and repairs to machines are effective to assist in maintenance and repairs of equipment (boilers/ freeze dryers/filler cappers)
  • Ensuring that written calibration/servicing procedures are accurate and regularly updated therefore maintaining service, safety and quality in all tasks carried out within Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
  • Continuously devising/approving new or improved techniques /procedures with regard to all aspects of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering such as Calibration, design, service, installation, diagnosis, purchasing, documentation, safety, etc
  • Providing PPM metrics and monthly reports to achieve a 100 % service level (have no overdue services or calibrations)
  • Project management:  selection of tenders and realistic solutions with regard to new buildings, plant and machinery purchase/installation etc, including generating plans and drawings, obtaining quotations, assessing cost vs. capex, managing contractors, deliveries, project phases, time slots etc, whilst maintaining site security
  • Manage cost centre to the agreed budget and prepare effective plans for future budgets
  • Effective management and motivation of Engineering staff in accordance with company HR policies and procedures
  • To ensure that all Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering and Building Service Activities are performed in compliance with Electrical law and regulations, company quality policies and procedures
  • Responsible for the Health and Safety of staff and visitors, including contractors within the areas supervised and ensuring that the environment is not adversely affected by the activities of employees and visitors who they are responsible for

Desired Education:

  • BTech or BSC or Mechanical Engineering degree
  • Government Contract management experience
  • Proven project management skills
  • At least 8 years experience within Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
  • Certificate of competency
  • ISO 1800

Millwright / Instrumentation Technician – Refinery  / R 17 000 Basic plus benefits,  Variable, 13th cheque and Standby Allowance / Midrand

Hands on and experienced artisan that has excellent faultfinding experience from within a refinery or similar plant environment

Key Responsibilities:
  • Experience working with planned maintenance of the plant
  • Visual inspections, replacement of parts, dealing with the operators of the control room
  • Must have worked on PUMPS:
    • Centrifugal, MONO, Dosing, Air pumps,
    • Actuator valves, control valves and safety valves
    • Steam articulators
    • Gas Boilers (GTF / GEKKA)
  • Faultfinding on:
    • Actuators
    • Level sensors
    • Radar
  • Most critical area of this job is the ability to be hands on and able to get to the root of the problem in the most time efficient manner

Desired Education:

  • Matric
  • Trade tested
  • At least 2-3 years experience
